We are looking for a results-driven Accountant who can support the organization by delivering to established business metrics, specifically in the areas of tax accounting and bookkeeping

We support small and medium size businesses through our full-cycle bookkeeping and tax preparation services. Each of our clients is important to us, and we strive to exceed their expectations.

About the Position

  • Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections
  • Performing reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and Credit Card Statements
  • Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
  • Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules
  • Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
  • Review and file HST and other government remittances, Payroll remittances, T4 Summary and ROE

Your Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliation, payroll remittances, and HST returns
  • Experience working with QuickBooks or other accounting software required
  • Track record of success in streamlining current procedures, and recommending and implementing process improvements
  • Excellent presentation skills to facilitate decision-making by executives
  • Strong technical skills to automate manual processes and upload mass data
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Licence/Certification:
